LED Indicators#
MIVO Connect uses several LEDs to indicate system status and simplify troubleshooting.
Status LED#
The Status LED indicates the overall health of the MIVO Connect unit.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| 🟢 Solid Green | The unit is operating normally and no system errors have been detected. |
| 🔵 Solid Blue | The unit is running in USB-C configuration mode. |
| 🔴 Solid Red | Critical system error. Contact MIVO Support. |
| 🔴 Flashing Red | Critical system error. Contact MIVO Support. |
| 🟢🔴 Alternating Green/Red | The unit is booting. Startup normally takes 1–2 minutes. |
Network Status (Globe)#
The Globe LED indicates the overall network status of the MIVO Connect.
Note
Newer generations of MIVO Connect use ETH1 and ETH2 instead of WAN and LAN.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| 🔴 Solid Red | No network link is available on any Ethernet port. |
| 🟢 Solid Green | A network connection is established and the unit has obtained a valid IP address. |
| 🔵 Solid Blue | Internet connection available. |
| 🔴 Flashing Red | Waiting for an IP address (DHCP). |
ETH1 & ETH2#
Each Ethernet port has its own activity LED.

| Off | No network link. |
| 🟢 Solid Green | Network link established. |
| 🟢 Flashing | Network traffic detected. |
RS485#
The RS485 LED indicates communication activity and bus status.

|---|---|
| Off | No communication. |
| 🟢 Flashing | Receiving data (RX). |
| 🟠Flashing | Transmitting data (TX). |
| 🟢 Solid Green | Communication error detected. Check the RS485 installation. |
M-Bus#
The M-Bus LED indicates communication activity and bus status.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Off | No ongoing communication. |
| 🟢 Flashing | Receiving M-Bus telegrams (RX). |
| 🟠Flashing | Transmitting M-Bus telegrams (TX). |
| 🔴 Short Flash | No load detected on the M-Bus or a collision between multiple M-Bus devices has been detected. |
| 🔴 Solid Red | M-Bus overload or short circuit. |
Common LED Combinations#
| LED Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Status 🟢 + Globe 🔵 | Normal operation with Internet connectivity. |
| Status 🟢 + Globe 🟢 | Network connection established but no Internet access. |
| Status 🟢 + Globe 🔴 | No Ethernet cable is connected to any Ethernet port. |
| Status 🔴 | Critical system error. Contact MIVO Support. |
| M-Bus 🔴 Solid | Check the M-Bus installation for overload or short circuit. |
| RS485 🟢 Solid | Check the RS485 wiring and communication settings. |
